Peter Donahue
Staff Coach

Peter began skiing in earnest in Lake Placid NY in the late 1960’s, racing in the Northern Adirondack Council. After a brief stint teaching skiing at Berkshire East in Charlemont MA during his college years, he got hooked for good working for the Santa Fe Ski Basin in 1981. He moved to Taos in 1983, and has been working for the Ernie Blake/TSV ski school and on and off for TWST ever since. Highlights from his career include:15 summers coaching for National Alpine Ski Camp at Mt. Hood OR, Three winters in New Zealand at Mt. Treble Cone and coaching for the Wanaka Ski Club, PSIA level three certification in 1984, Coaching the Taos Special Olympics team for four years in the late 80’s, Becoming a PSIA/AASI clinic leader/Examiner in 1990, Attending the national coach’s school in 1993, USSA Coach’s level 2 Serving on the PSIA/AASI National Board of Directors since 2006, Serving as the PSIA/AASI National Children’s Task Force chair in 2008-2009 developing the national Children’s Specialist certificate, Coordinating training for the TSV children’s snowsports school 2008-2013, Developing the Ernie Blake Adaptive Snowsports program in collaboration with the Taos Community Foundation and TWST.
